A uni whinge...

a) My potential dissertation tutor has STILL not got back to me about whether he'll be my tutor or not, after I emailed him weeks ago. He wouldn't be my first choice anyway, given the completely useless, bitchy comments he always puts on work, but if he can't be arsed to reply to emails, what help is he going to be?

b) My analysis project is already the bane of my life. There seems to be absolutely NO information on Chopin's Andante Spianato, the piece I'm thinking of studying, anywhere. I just looked it up in what's basically the world's biggest music reference website (it's a collection of all the big, proper books) and the entry for it essentially says 'Yes, it exists.'

I feel a little frustrated.

I has a new blog! I don't really know why. My housemate just made one, and I thought 'Hey, a blog! Why not?'

I don't really know what I'm going to put here, if I bother to put anything here at all. We'll just have to wait and see. I imagine it will go something along the lines of:

At the moment, I am mostly researching my Project in Music Analysis, wishing I could just wake up one morning and magically be amazing at jazz and go on tour with JC, and wondering just how long it will take me to get off my arse and make something for dinner. It's been a slow day...
